The design mission was to breathe new life into the home, honoring its heritage while crafting a vibrant, functional space where indoor and outdoor living coalesce in perfect harmony.
Set into a hillside, the home’s curvilinear copper roof gracefully echoes the natural topography, offering a sculptural form that grounds the house to the land. JAQUE leaned into this architectural poetry, marrying it with bright, bold design elements that refl ect the family’s spirited energy and the dynamic rhythm of modern life. Indigenous materials and saturated hues were carefully chosen to connect every room to its exterior counterpart—creating visual conversations across thresholds, patios, and panoramic glass that blur the boundaries between the home and the stunning desert landscape.
The main living areas open fully to nature, dissolving traditional barriers and allowing the outdoors to seamlessly flow into the heart of the home. Multi-tiered patios were designed to encourage dynamic social interaction, each one curated for a unique mood—from sun-drenched lounging areas to intimate evening gatherings. The lower-level guest suites enjoy direct access to the outdoors, offering an immersive experience of desert living.
Indoor entertaining spaces are saturated with color—expressive yet elegant—carrying the warmth of the landscape inward. These spaces are designed to refl ect the family’s vibrant personality while reinforcing the home’s connection to its surroundings.
