JAQUE was inspired by the freedom of flight and envisioned a structure that felt as if it could soar off the land. This concept was translated into a butterfly-like shape for the roof and structure, providing a sense of magnificence and connection to the sky.
The home is divided into three distinct sections: the central space, which houses the great room, kitchen, and dining area; a wing containing the private primary suite with a den and bath; and another wing with three guest suites and an office. The layout is designed to ensure that all rooms feel connected to the views and the outdoors while maintaining a sense of privacy.
The clients had a clear vision of simplicity for their home, with a preference for a plain color palette. They requested to choose their own fixtures, a unique approach that diverged from the typical design process, where the design vision is usually parallel with the architecture.
